Umbral Foundry Walkthrough
Vile Lictor becomes farmable once players complete the Main Mission: His Vile Sanctum, which is accessed by following the main quests in Terminus Range. Once players have completed this mission, they can farm Vile Lictor with Moxxi’s Encore. To get to Vile Lictor, simply head to the Umbral Foundry in Windspear, Terminus Range. You can select the Umbral Foundry and fast travel inside, but you will need to navigate through the linear path to reach the boss room. In terms of loot that you should farm from Vile Lictor, we highly recommend the Super Soldier Shield. This Shield is extremely powerful, providing Overshield, an increase to Fire Rate and Movement Speed, as well as the ability to regenerate ammo for the equipped weapon, including Ordnance! The Class Mods provided are also good, but we recommend that Vex players farm for Undead Eye, as Sniper Rifles will trigger Blood Shot to help with Bleed Builds. The other Vault Hunters have decent Class Mods from Vile Lictor, but Vex has the best one from Vile Lictor, so get to farming!
Upon jumping into Vile Lictor’s arena, players will want to focus purely on the man from within the machine. Vile Lictor is immune to damage until he unveils himself from his shielded protection, and at this point, players will want to unload their bullets into him. Vile Lictor’s first health bar is Armor, so use Corrosive/Cryo for the most effective damage. In terms of damage against the Vault Hunter, Vile Lictor will use Lictor’s Limbs (which can be destroyed with Shock as they have Shield health) to shoot you. Vile Lictor will also throw Phase walls, which damage you when you enter them, and bullets cannot pass through them, so try to dash between them to hit Vile Lictor.
Upon destroying Vile Lictor’s Armor health, he will teleport you to the Phase for his second boss fight. Here, Vile Lictor will have a Shield health bar, so Shock is super effective against him. Vile Lictor is always vulnerable in this state, but he will dash around more frequently and use his hands to shoot homing missiles. Once defeated, Vile Lictor will drop his loot, and players can enter through the Phase portal to start the process again.
