Tottenham Hotspur correspondent and reliable journalist Alasdair Gold has made a promising claim on the club’s transfer plans after Richarlison.
The Lowdown: Spurs overhaul well underway…
ENIC’s £150 million equity increase and Spurs’ qualification for next season’s Champions League campaign has resulted in much being made of how the club and sporting director Fabio Paratici will aim to back manager Antonio Conte.
The north Londoners have been very, very busy so far this summer – having secured a plethora of deals already with many weeks of the window still remaining.
Paratici and co, according to reliable sources, will continue making a push for more additions with Gold now sharing what he knows.
The Latest: Gold makes promising claim…
Indeed, speaking in a football.london Q&A, the journalist claims that ‘further forward signings’ after Richarlison could be possible.

He explained, when asked if there could be any more attacking additions after the Brazilian:
“I’m told Spurs will continue to monitor the market for any opportunities when it comes to further forward signings in case an opportunity that’s too good to turn up arises in the final two months of the window. As for the defenders, that’s all being worked on simultaneously”
The Verdict: Great news…
This update comes as a further display of Tottenham’s new-found ambition under Conte and supporters may well be boosted by the fact their club may not be done in signing further forward additions.
The 2022/2023 Premier League season is shaping up to be quite exciting and, arguably, the club’s most promising in quite some time, but the scheduling around the World Cup and presence of Champions League football means Conte simply must get more depth in key positions.
